Hand Carved Santa-Russian Figures and Angels
December 6th marks the Feast Day of St. Nicholas of Myra; a Turkish bishop who
became the patron saint of Moscow and Santa to the world. Due to the suppression of religion during the Soviet regime, St. Nicholas was replaced by Ded Moroz or Grandfather Frost, the Russian Spirit of Winter who brought gifts on New Year's.
We have a nice selection of finely carved santa figures all made of solid wood and hand painted by artists in Russia.
These carved Santas or Father Frost figures are each unique and we have photographed each of them to allow you to see the wonderful details and colors they possess.
We will update this page on a regular basis so do check back for new additions as we replace those sold.
You may select a category from the left side of this page under Christmas Wood Carvings Russian to see our stock of Santa Figurines and other Russian Wood Carvings listed by price.
